Dyeing my hair??

Well, I have dirty blonde hair rite now. I hate it. I want to dye it either red, black, or dark purple. I told my parents this but they wont let my dye it because it will ruin my hair. Any ideas on convincing my parents? (I'm 14 btw)

wat does btw stand for ans any ways maybe try putting burgundy streaks in it that way you are not necesarily dyeing your hair. oh and if you dye your hair black, put in purple highlights.

maybe try asking about a different, more natural color first. then slowly work your way up to the colors you want.

or you could see about getting the under-layer dyed one of those colors. then you cant see it ALL the time (and your parents will be happy), but you can still show it off (and you'll be happy). then they might get used to it and let you dye the whole thing eventually.

or you could explain to them how those colors barely damage your hair at all, as long as you condition it.

good luck! :]

You can tell them that dying ur hair a darker colr doesn't hurt ur hair as much as if u bleched it. And that there r alot of good produts that can help ur hair go bak 2 normal.

Well, I wouldn't go against what your parents say, but now a days hair dyes are actually better for your hair than they use to be. As long as it doesn't have peroxide. I have dirty blond hair, and have been dying it one shade of red or another for 20 years, and my hair is fine. I would suggest you gather good information on it, or have your folks talk to a professional. Maybe they will change their minds if they have the facts.

Red is really the way to go!

Dyeing my hair??

you're 14, i wouldn't dye my hair those colors.

try a darker brown or something.

i would not suggest going black, or those other colors because you will have to bleach your hair to get them.

i dyed my hair black.

and when i didn't want it in anymore,

i went to some salons and they said that they wouldn't be able to completely get it out..

AND they would still charge me $200!

i ended up having to cut my hair really short and now i'm growing it out.

it's been about 2 1/2 years and it's still not all the way out.

so please, be completely sure you want to get it done before you do.

a lot of people probably say that you'll regret it.

you may not but just be sure.

your parents just don't want you to ruin your hair.

they're not trying to be mean.

hope i helped you and good luck! :]

Dyeing my hair??

Tell them there are much wrse things you could be doing and it's not gonna kill your hair. And it can easily be switched back at a salon. However DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF
