Make up that looks good with black hair?

So basically my hair dresser screwed up and dyed my hair black. I'm going to try to let it fade away (anyone know how long that will take if I wash it once or twice a day?) but in the mean time, I have NO idea how to do make up with black hair.

Any ideas?

the best thing to wear with black hair and fair skin is deep rose coloured lipsticks with a lip liner and understated eye make up, neutral or very pale pink eyeshadow other wise if you have dark heavy makeup it will look too much and too cheap looking. ok so what type of dye was used, if it is a rinse 8 washes a semi permanent 24 washes and a permanent has to grow out. How the hell can a hairdresser screw up and turn hair black what colour was it supposed to be?

You have to let it grow out!!! There really isnt another option. You should go for warm tones. Even reds would look hot.

so you dyed your hair black.. :]]

its okay.

smoky eyeliner [gray/black]

mac eyeshadow..i prefer bright colors if you have dark hair..it will show off your eyes.

a red lipstick..not to bright but transends your skin tone.

your hair..it should take about 24 days.

oh dear...if its not permanent it might take a month or so. If it is permant you are screwed! I just had to bleach my hair twice to dye it again to brown! Killed my hair. But I am also light skin and blue eyes and the colors I used were browns, pinks, tried bright green once, and berry colors. My main color is browns though with black mascara and liner!

Black hair colour will get fade within a month, like any other colour. After 1 month, you'll have a dark brown hair, but the tips of your hair will be black still. That's cause it's very difficult to get rid of the black colour. But don't use any chemicals to make your hair fade, cause you'll damage your hair a lot. After one month, go to another hair dresser and tell him to try to do something (as natural as possible) to lighten your hair...maybe a natural brown colour or something. If you want a light hair such a blonde, it will take up to 6 months to get it, if you choose the natural way and not damaging it. Ahh, one big tip for lightening your hair is: everytime you wash it, don't wash it with simple water. Boil some chamomile in one bowl, put some more quantity and wash your hair only with that boiled water. I used to do that some time ago, I had natural black hair and it got brown in about 1 month. Good luck!

Ahh, I forgot answering to your question: I have black hair and what goes great with the hair colour is sand and brown eye shadow, but also midnight purple looks amazing, espcially if your eyes are blue-green. And as lipstick, try natural colours, such as pale pink or if you're going for a night out, dark red looks great.

washing your hair twice a day will only make your hair more brittle and dried out. go back to your hair dresser. she can (hopefully) redo your hair. I have Naturally black hair, but my skin is darker(Although i'm english, Irish) No Matter what your hair is you have to go with your skin tone, for a base.

ask ur hairdresser about perm solution. i have heard that if you run it through ur hair it should take out most of the dark pigment. although i wouldn't recommend doing this by urself lol! as far as make up keep it simple. the hair is very strong so try pale lip gloss a little bronzer on ur face and a light eyeshadow . and always wear mascara! good luck.
