My hair gets really frizzy when I try to dry it...?

When I want to straighten my hair I blow dry it before and when I'm done it is really big and poofy. It's horrible! I just have a regular blow dryer and it doesn't have anything on the end, it just dries my hair. Any ideas on how to not make it so poofy? I put Biosilk in it before, but that doesn't help either.

Also, I'm thinking of buying a new straightener... Does anyone know about the Remington Wet to Dry straightener? I saw it at Ulta today and I was wondering if anyone has used the Remington brand. Or any others that you liked. It's just that the Chi's are so expensive.

Thanks!

Ok since you don't have a attachment for a blow dryer you should use a comb and comb your hair straight down while blow drying it. also you need to put something in your hair to better control it before blow drying it like Redkens Align straighting balm. That will even make you have to flat iron it less because it will already be smooth and straight from the blow dry. A good straightener that is also cheap is Andis flat iron which is like 45 dollars. Hope I helped. Good luck . Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

the wet to dry srtaightener is CRAP! i tried it once, and took it back...It didn't work. Other than that, you should buy a diffuser to go on the end of your blow dryer.

Use Proclaim glossing polish with aloe ($5-$6 AT Sally's, lasts a long tim), it smooths out your hair and keeps it from frizziness. It works on curly hair and when you want to straighten it, it protects it from being damaged by the heat of the straightener. Hope that helps!

I use Sunsilk HydraTLC in my hair. Its sort of creamy so it soaks in (not to mention, really soft). I use a Chi and I have never had any problems with it. I've been using it for almost 4 years...so it really pays to have it.

Don't even straighten your hair while wet, that's what makes it frizzy and dry, blowdrying tends to cause frizz as well.

Buy John Frieda Frizz Ease

I've had the same problems myself. You might want to try an anti-frizz product to help control you hair a little more, if your hair is dry and unruly, Matrix sleeklook cream might work well. Let your hair air dry for awhile before you blowdry, otherwise it takes forever and the style won't hold. Use a big round brush, blowdrying in sections and use as much tension as you can to get it really straight. Blast your hair with cool air when you're done to seal the do. And if you can find a concentrator on the end that'll concentrate the air better which helps minimize frizz. Hope that helps. Of course in the summer, everyone has a hard time with blowdrying so don't worry if it's not a perfect job.

Let your hair dry naturally, and DON'T run your fingers through it until its completely dry..(if you have the time that is..)

As for the straightner I use this

I have straight hair and when i try to dry it it gets poofy and frizzy as well, and I have yet to find a product that gets rid of the frizz. Ive learned to not wear it down if its humid out and if I dry my hair before I go to bed it turns out really nice the next day.

I blow dry my hair straight but it ends up boofy also. I then run my straightener through my hair. Use a slim line straightner with an alchol based spray this doesn't weigh hair down as much as gels.

I have used the wet to straight and it took me an hour to straighten (I have very thick hair). It did a really good job though.

Blow-drier: buy one that is ceramic, and has ionic technology. Ceramic protects hair while the ions reduce frizz. Make sure you buy one that comes with a diffuer.. reduces frizz alto. Buy the same thing for a flat iron. And i read somehere that drying your hair with a towel will cause the frizz... there are certain towels u have to dry it off with to prevent this. (they make small towels only for drying your hair with). Sleepin on satin pillows help reduce frizz too.

I have a corioliss flat iron and they sell wet-to-dry ones too. i bought my blow-drier from sallies

well revlon is a good company.also i would use a product called Frizzie its great for keeping frizzy hair down even in the worst of conditions. also some good conditionel can really come down poofy hair cause it weights hair down.but if you like something easy and quick john frieda gloss is great, it leaves your hair amazingly soft and smooth. and it only takes min to do in the shower.
